Aureel was awarded with the second place in the ESNC Catalonia Challenge
Aureel was awarded with the second place in the ESNC Catalonia Challenge 2016. We are super excited to finally get rewarded after we put so much work into our first product Reen. We managed to finish on second place (first runner-up) in this year´s edition of the European Satellite Navigation Competition in Catalonia.
Aureel awarded second place. Daniel Montañes, CEO of Aureel (in the center of the picture) was responsible for receiving the award in the ceremony.
The ESNC (aka European Satellite Navigation Competition) is a competition at european level for ideas, projects or companies that use satellite navigation for commercial purposes. Many important organizations are involved in this competition, like the ESA (European Space Agency), which empowers people to bring their aerospace technology to everyday customers, like the GNSS.
This competition is subdivided at a regional level. Each region picks a winner and a first runner-up, which then will go to the european final of the ESNC 2016. This year the final will take place in Madrid, on October 25th, in the Circulo de Bellas Artes of the Spanish capital.
During the final ceremony in Madrid there will be other special awards given by several organizations like the ESA, the GNSS European Agency or the German Aerospace Center, among others. Aureel will be in the european final, since we qualify for the special award given by the European Space Agency (ESA).
If you would like to attend the european final in Madrid, you have more information here; or if you prefer to get to know more about the ESNC award, you can read about it here.
The special awards will be given during the final ceremony on October 25th, and there will be awards for the three first places, chosen by the ESA, for which we are qualified. There will be several projects from all across Europe competing for them.
Wish us luck!
